Wood Pellets

If you are considering alternative fuels for your home heating needs consider wood pellets.

Pellet stoves burn cleanly and efficiently.  They can be thermostatically controlled to turn off when a desired temperature is achieved.  The pellets are bagged, so you don't have to split or stack firewood.  Simply fill the hopper as needed, and your stove will keep your home comfortable all winter long.

Pellet stoves do require regular maintenance to keep them operating efficiently.

Corn Stoves

Corn stoves can be an excellent alternative fuel heating option.  Before you consider corn, take a minute to visit the website below so you can know all the facts before purchasing a stove. http://burncorn.cas.psu.edu/

Although pellet stoves and corn stoves are similar, they are not interchangeable.  You should never burn a different fuel in a stove other than the one intended.  The air and ignition requirements are drastically different and the fuel will not burn cleanly or efficiently.

Corn stoves also require the same regular maintenance as pellet stoves.
